Nothing is more important than our young people. In fact, Jesus himself
equated children with the very Kingdom of God (Luke 18:16). In a world that
is increasingly hostile to Christianity and its values, we must not fail to
equip our youth with a rock solid foundation of Gospel truth.
We thank God for providing teachers and mentors to lead the`way, and we pray
for His guidance always in our efforts to help our children grow and thrive as
champions for Christ.
Attention Youth!

Sedalia Youth Group
This is a dynamic group of young ladies and young men growing spiritually strong and doctrinally sound
as they prepare to venture forth into the world of adulthood, college, and
careers. The group is made up of youth in grades 7 through 12.
The Youth Group meets in the multi-purpose building each Wednesday evening at
6:00 pm for prayer, worship and praise. Young musicians provide
solid contemporary Christian music geared to youthful tastes while faithful to the
enduring message of the Gospel. Youth Pastor David Edwards leads the
group and preaches Christ with passion, purpose, and love.
Extra-curricular activities include summer camp and participation in plays,
productions and special projects. Drop in for a visit, and be prepared
to stand in awe of the enthusiasm these young people radiate!

Children's Church
Children's Church is for kids ages 3 - 12 and takes place each Sunday at 10:00 am
alongside our regular worship services. Youngsters are divided into age-specific groups and
receive solid foundational instruction in Bible and Gospel basics. Children's Church provides
the bedrock upon which satisfying lives of faith, love, and service may be established and prosper.
There is plenty of room for fun, too. The kids enjoy special art projects, participation
in plays and productions, and the ever-popular choral bell ministry. Lovingly dubbed the
"ding-a-lings," they never fail to bring smiles when they perform for the church.
We are truly blessed to have adults who possess the skills and patience to work with our
children. Please remember to pray for them and their families.

Awana Clubs
The name "Awana" is an acronym for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed,"
derived from 2 Timothy 2:15. Divided into several separate clubs based
on age, Awana Clubs stress descipleship and evangelism through a very effective
program designed for Christian youth.
An engaging mix of instruction and fun, Awana provides activities, games, and
competitions to keep the interest level high while instilling self-assurance,
truth and knowledge. Above all, Awana Clubs stress confidence and boldness
in witnessing and presenting the message of Christ to the world.
The Awana Clubs meet during the school year, each Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm.
Come to Awana Clubs and join in the excitement!

Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is great teaching and great fun! In addition to
Christian activities that keep kids involved in God's word, VBS also offers
a unique opportunity for inviting new faces into our church to hear the Gospel.
This, in turn, may lead to entire families coming to faith and the saving knowledge
of Jesus Christ.
Each year, VBS is presented with a fresh new theme designed to keep interest levels and
participation high. Using the latest in media resources and support materials,
VBS leaders teach important Christian family values and principles alongside the
Gospel message.
Kids, plan to attend VBS this summer, and be sure to invite your friends! Parents, ask what
you can do to help -- volunteer to teach, assist, or drive a van -- you'll be glad you did.

Youth Sports & Athletics
Organized team sports offer a unique opportunity for young people to discover important principles
of fair play, teamwork and cooperation, along with the value of making their own best effort.
Perhaps most important, they learn to win and lose graciously. When experienced in a
Christ-centered environment, such lessons become even more enduring and powerful.
Our church participates in the G&M Ministries youth basketball program. The G&M program
is very similar to the 'Upward' program we have enjoyed in the past. Every
child plays, every child wins, and every child receives an award. The program has two
main goals, which are sharing the Gospel and teaching each child sound basketball fundamentals.
The signup and evaluation period runs from mid-October through November 21, and the season itself
runs from early January through February. Contact Bro. David Edwards for more information.
Volunteers are needed to ensure that the program is successful. Adults please be in prayer
about how you might serve, and step forward to volunteer if possible.
Summers are for baseball, and our Church League Softball program helps keep that tradition
alive. Age-specific teams keep competeition fair, and the opportunity to interact with
kids and parents from other churches makes Summer evenings especially enjoyable. Again,
there is always a need for volunteers to help ensure the best experience for our kids.
Will you answer the call?
